Extreme Slam would like to announce that the following girls have been selected to be a part of the 2020 Extreme Slam 16/17's Team:
Practices will be on Monday and Wednesday from 4-6 on Court #2. If you have a conflict for these times, please message Jeff Pratt at Jeff@ExtremeVolleyball.net
There will be a required Parent/Player meeting at the beginning of your first practice on Monday, November 18th. We will need all players and at least one parent at this meeting. If you are unable to be there then please message Jeff Pratt at Jeff@ExtremeVolleyball.net
The 16/17 Yr Old team will begin practices Tuesday November 19th, with tournaments beginning in January and the season ending the first weekend of April. Practices will be twice a week with the day and times to be announced.
The cost will be $1050. This year all money will be paid online using this website. $550 is due prior to the first practice, with the $500 balance being due by December 15th. Players with a balance after December 15th will not be allowed to practice until balance is paid. Players with a remaining balance as of January 1st will be dropped from the team. We do not issue refunds, for any reason. Unlike previous years we will not be doing payments by checks and monthly billing. We are asking that you pay online. This will also allow families to simply payback their credit card as they are comfortable, and not have to come up with all the funds here at Christmas. If you are registering two siblings the system will automatically give a $300 discount for any family that registers 2 athletes online, as long as they register both of their daughters in the same session. If you would like to make payment In Full and want to use cash or check, please register online and in the check out process enter the code "Offline20". This will complete the registration process without asking for your credit card information, and you will not be charged the Processing Fee. Then drop off your payment to Jeff Pratt either at your first practice or at Jerry Jackson Realty.
In addition to Extreme Slam membership you will need to join USA Volleyball. You can visit https://webpoint.usavolleyball.org/ to join or renew your membership.
Your membership fee will cover your childs jersey, tournament entry fees, Coaching and Practice time. Remember NO Player is ever Guaranteed Any Playing Time at a tournament. All playing time is earned during practice and awarded by the Coach. We understand that sometimes this is frustrating to Parents. You feel like you paid for something that your child is not receiving. Practice is what you are paying for...Tournament Play is a reward. Parents, please be prepared to honor this policy. If you see that your child is not playing as much then please ask your child to talk to the Coach and see what steps she needs to take to earn additional playing time.
Feel free to Join the Extreme Slam 16's Remind Group. This will keep you updated on all general announcements for the Team. Get all the latest Team news and notice for all the upcoming events.

Coach Emily Poynor
My name is Emily Poynor. I am 24 years old and a student at Arkansas Tech. I am getting my degree in K-6 education with hopes to be a middle school math teacher. I played college volleyball for 2 years at Lyon College and then transferred to Crowley's Rigid College to play another two years. After my eligibility was up I stayed at Crowley's an additional year to coach a JV volleyball team. I am back in Harrison now and working at the Youth Center. When I'm not there I am at home with my beautiful baby girl, Lily Sue.
Coach Karson Unruh
I graduated from Harrison High school in 2016, and i am currently attending North Ark College for Nursing. I played volleyball through out junior high and high school and loved every minute of it. I originally planned to play in college until i had a “career” ending injury. This injury led me to coaching for the last few years , and given me the ability to spread my love of the game to young athletes. This will be my fourth year coaching for Extreme slam, as well as coaching I work as a tech for Cox Hospital in Branson, and teach children’s classes at Cross Roads Church in my spare time. Looking forward to another great year!
